Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary

Under general supervision, the Audio/Video Supervisor is responsible for providing the day-to-day management of the audio/video staff to insure quality and timely installation and support of digital audio/video recording systems. The AV Supervisor encompasses AV installation, project management, research and evaluation of new products and technologies, training, and in-house and customer support responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
  • Direct responsibility for selecting and purchasing all audio visual equipment for multiple locations within the college.
  • Supervising the installation, implementation and maintenance of all audio visual equipment within the college.
  • Provides direction the maintenance of equipment, repair, installation of audio and video systems.
  • Collaborates with operations and support teams to provide direction/support, streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Develops project-specific work plans, and leads AV installation team members.
  • Communicates and coordinates on-site with departments as required to complete AV installation.
  • Oversees the installation of AV systems according to systems documentation and industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintains complete and accurate as-built documentation of systems installations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimums

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and two (2) years of related experience, which includes the operation, and/or maintenance of audio-visual equipment and one (1) year of supervisory experience.

OR

  • Associates Degree in a related field and four (4) years of related experience, which includes the operation, and/or maintenance of audio-visual equipment and two (2) years of supervisor experience.

Preferences

  • Knowledge of IT Customer Support a plus.
  • Knowledge of modern AV and classroom delivery and technology systems.

As a condition of employment CNM requires all students, faculty, and staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no later than October 1, 2021.
